Brown Jordan

Brown Jordan was established in 1945 by Robert Brown and Hubert Jordan in Pasadena, California. A company best known for producing custom wrought iron tables and chairs, Brown Jordan steadily evolved to manufacture original furniture designs made of extruded, wrought and cast aluminum, stainless steel, teak, and woven resin. Sales were principally to interior designers specifying quality furnishings to both contract and residential clientele.

Over the years, Brown Jordan earned a solid reputation based on classic designs, quality construction, and knowledgeable sales and service. A reputation that distinguishes itself as the most recognized name in the casual furniture industry. Others have noticed. Brown Jordan has won seventeen Design Excellence awards for its furniture – more than any other manufacturer in the industry.

Today, Brown Jordan’s product offering fuses over 60 years of leadership in producing quality, comfortable and durable furnishings. Charter Furniture

Charter Furniture is a leading designer and manufacturer of medium to high end furniture for the hospitality industry.

Charter has the ability to manufacture globally which allows for the flexibility to accommodate small quantities for suites and public spaces, as well as large quantities for guest rooms.

Working closely with nationally known hotel chains, hospitality interior design firms and large purchasing companies, Charter has developed a reputation for quick response, full scale project support and proven ability to execute almost any type of custom seating specification.

From the initial design rendering stage, through prototyping, budgeting, engineering review, mock-up rooms and final approvals, Charter has the in-house knowledge and experience to deliver the final project on time and on budget. Charter can translate virtually any type of seating idea into reality with its strong global network of key component suppliers in categories such as lounge, task, wood dining, banquet stacking and booth designs.

Winston Furniture

Since 1975, Winston Furniture has been a major fashion design innovator and service manufacturing leader in the casual furniture industry. The unsurpassed quality of Winston outdoor furniture is well known.

Winston Furniture presents casual outdoor furniture that caters to the style-conscious yet discriminating consumer. Through the merging of contemporary manufacturing technologies, weather resistant materials and eclectic designs, the collections represent desirable and enduring casual furnishing. Over the years, Winston has been voted as the winner of the Manufacturer’s Leadership Award by its retail dealers 5 times, and has won numerous Design Excellence awards.

Winston’s diverse offering represents the finest in extruded and cast aluminum casual furniture. Contemporary and durable fabric slings and tailored cushions complete the individual collections. Winston depicts stylish and distinguished furnishings for year round enjoyment.

Winston’s Furniture serves as a prime example of superior American-made product. Winston’s 250,000 square foot, state-of-the-art aluminum manufacturing facility in Haleyville, Alabama, is one of the most technologically advanced facilities of its kind in the casual furniture industry.


What began in autumn of 1975 as Jerry Rega and Company would lay the foundation in building the brand Texacraft®.

At the time, simple tubular frames with vinyl strapping were the order of the day. Even though the offering was initially small, the quality of the products, along with superior customer service, kept customers happy and returning for reorders. After 40 years at the helm of a brand to which he has devoted his career, Jerry Rega chalks Texacraft’s success up to a commitment to customer satisfaction, steadfast support of his long-time sales team and production staff, and passion for this evolving industry.

Texacraft is among the largest manufacturers of commercial outdoor furniture. For over four decades, Texacraft has produced the highest quality, most durable furniture in the industry to style-conscious clients aimed specifically at apartments, condominiums, hotels, and country clubs and is the preferred manufacturer for most of the county’s largest REITS. Through the merging of modern manufacturing technologies, weather-resistant materials and eclectic designs, the Texacraft collections represent the finest in commercial outdoor extruded and cast aluminum casual furniture. Providing customers with a broad product line offers a one-stop source for many specifiers and designers. Having a designer pallet of over 200 fabrics and 20 frame finish options allows customized furniture for any environment.

Being good stewards of the environment is something that the Texacraft Brand aggressively pursues. As a manufacturer that produces products to be used primarily outside it is imperative that we do our part to preserve the world’s delicate ecosystem. Texacraft’s offering includes many products that can be recycled as well as products that are made from recycled materials. Tropitone's goal is to provide our customers what they want, when they want it – the first time, every time.

The Tropitone Furniture Company and the Tropitone® brand were born in 1954 when Mr. Burt M. Baker bought the Sarasota Redwood Furniture Company and switched from redwood to aluminum for the frames of his outdoor patio furniture. The Tropitone Furniture Company was originally established to serve the commercial market for outdoor patio furniture that included hotels, motels, clubs and resorts.

Tropitone® brand outdoor patio furniture could soon be found around the lawns, gardens, patios and pools of commercial and residential properties around the country. Today, Tropitone has full-service manufacturing and distribution operations in Sarasota, FL and Irvine, CA, providing Tropitone the ability to quickly respond to ever-changing marketplace conditions for outdoor patio furniture by being close to North American customers. Tropitone Furniture Company's bi-coastal presence provides the Tropitone® brand with the unique ability to specialize in two key service requirements of commercial customers: 1) short order-to-ship cycle time; and 2) customized outdoor patio furniture manufactured and shipped within that short cycle time.

The Tropitone Furniture Company has created the Tropitone® MODA™ and Tropitone® VALORA™ brands as complements to the Tropitone® brand. Tropitone® MODA™ provides distinctive fashion solutions for extraordinary spaces. Tropitone® MODA™ is the gracious, elegant, stylish companion to the fun-loving and approachable performance of Tropitone®. Gene Moriarty serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Brown Jordan International. Mr. Moriarty began his employment with Brown Jordan International in May 2005 and subsequently engineered a turnaround in the Company’s performance based upon:

  • Low cost manufacturing through best business processes
  • A disciplined New Product Development process
  • Supply Chain rationalization
  • Margin enhancement throughout all Brown Jordan International’s businesses
  • Revitalization of the Specialty Retail segment of the business
  • Reinvestment in meaningful brand-building initiatives

Prior to joining Brown Jordan International, Mr. Moriarty was President and Chief Operating Officer at Evenflo Baby Products, an equity holding of KKR, starting in June 2000. From 1997 to 2000, he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Playtex Products. Before serving in these top management positions, he was an Executive Consultant with Meridian Consulting Group. Mr. Moriarty has also served in executive positions with Tambrands, Inc. and Slim Fast Foods, and was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Warner Music Division of Time Warner, Inc.


Vincent A. Tortorici, Jr. has served as Chief Financial Officer of the Company and its predecessors since March 1988. In addition, Mr. Tortorici has held numerous positions as Vice President and Treasurer of the Company, its predecessors and subsidiaries. Prior to being employed by Brown Jordan International, Mr. Tortorici was with Arthur Andersen & Co. from 1976-1988. Mr. Tortorici is a Certified Public Accountant.

In September 2012, Vincent was selected by the Jacksonville Business Journal as one of the areas "Ultimate CFOs" which highlights the area’s top financial leaders.


Frederick G. King serves as Chief Operating Officer of Brown Jordan International, Inc. and is also the Company’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

Mr. King began his employment with Brown Jordan International in September 2006. Mr. King is responsible for management of the Company’s Brown Jordan, Tropitone, Winston/Texacraft and Casual Living Worldwide business units and the Company’s legal, human resources and risk management departments. Mr. King was previously, at various times, Division President of the Company’s Tropitone, Winston/Texacraft and Charter business units.

Prior to joining Brown Jordan International, Mr. King was Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Givaudan Flavors Corporation and Givaudan Fragrances Corporation, the world’s largest flavors and fragrances company.

Mr. King also served as Vice President, General Counsel of Standard Textile Co., Inc., a global leader in the manufacture and distribution of healthcare and surgical products, hospitality products and apparel.

Mr. King began his legal career as an associate at Squire, Patton, Boggs, a global law firm with 44 offices in 21 countries and over 1,700 attorneys.

Mr. King holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Law.


Bill Snow serves as Chief Information Officer for Brown Jordan International, leads the Company’s Information Technology strategy and initiatives. Mr. Snow has been with Brown Jordan International since June, 2002. Prior to joining the Company, he served for seven years as CIO at Catalina Lighting, a major supplier of residential lighting products for mass merchants and lighting showrooms. He began his career in I.T. consulting, providing technology solutions for mid-sized enterprises in the chemical, aviation, marine craft, construction, machine tools, and electronics industries.


Scott Barrett is a proven operating and multi-channel marketing executive with brand and customer building experience across a variety of consumer product, specialty retail and sports industries. Scott has experience in both public and private equity-backed company environments. His track record shows a demonstrated ability to consistently achieve high results through leading teams, seeking creative business solutions, acting decisively, and proactively managing change.

Scott recently completed an assignment as President of CCA Sports Retail Services to create and implement a growth strategy leading to the largest growth in membership in past six years. In addition, he developed key partnerships in the ski and outdoor specialty retail sectors positioning CCA for future growth.

From 2004 to 2013, Scott was the CMO and head of eCommerce at Eastern Mountain Sports the 2nd largest outdoor specialty retailer in the U.S. Not only did Scott re-brand the company and grow on-line sales from 6% to 10 % of total company sales during his tenure but he also was one of the three senior executives who took EMS private with private equity partner JH Whitney in 2004 through its sale in November 2102. He was one of 3 executives with a significant equity stake in the company.

Scott also held key marketing executive positions with well-known brands Starwood Hotels, Major League Baseball and PepsiCo.

Scott holds an MBA in Management and Marketing from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and an AB in Economics from Princeton University. He also attended an Executive Education program for digital marketing at the Harvard Business School.

Barrett, his wife and 3 children reside in southern New Hampshire. A former college hockey player, Scott coached elite level youth hockey for 6 years. He is also an avid cyclist, golfer, hiker and currently seeks perfect ice for his backyard rink each winter. Scott and his family will re-locate to the St. Augustine area this summer (2016).
